About Rolco International |
In 1976, after six years of successful European experience and recognizing the obvious potential within the North American Market, Rolco International Inc. was established in Neenah, Wisconsin, and now operates out of Nercon’s corporate location in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Rolco's management identified an unfulfilled need in American industry, that is, to gain additional unit volume from new and existing high speed production lines. They developed machines which provided significant improvements to their customers production efficiencies and operating profits. Multiple purchases of similar machines by major American and Canadian companies reinforced Rolco's belief in and commitment to its' proven method of accumulation. Contact with many different industries confirmed that whenever a high speed production line contained a wrapper, bagger, cartoner, labeler or case packer, there existed a probable need for a Rolco accumulator. |
Additional accumulator applications also surfaced. Rolco accumulators were used in providing automatic assortments to cartoners or case packers whether in different shapes, colors or sizes. Rolco accumulators were also used in case distribution systems. Rolco accumulators have proven reliability. Hundreds of Rolco accumulators are in operation with the manufacturers reporting production efficiency gains in the range of 10% to 20%. The Rolco method of accumulation maximizes the effective use of available manufacturing floor space. In-line Rolco accumulators deliver a more consistent product flow to wrappers, labelers, cartoners, and case packers, which in turn increases the operational reliability of these downstream pieces of equipment. Because both infeed and discharge sections are designed to cycle on demand, interfacing problems with present equipment or new equipment is nonexistent. No additional manpower is required, as the unit is completely automatic. In many installations, manpower requirements are significantly reduced in that stacking off is no longer required. The Rolco accumulation method is based on a first-in first-out principle, which ensures and maintains product flow in the same sequence as delivered from the generating unit. Minimal maintenance is required because of the rugged and durable design. All machines are assembled and test run in our Oconto, Wisconsin facility prior to shipment. This ensures that all components will fit and installation time at the manufacturing site is minimal. In 2000, Nercon Eng. & Mfg., Inc. acquired Rolco International, Inc. The acquisition has allowed Nercon to expand its current product line to include Rolco’s unique accumulation machines. |
